Chapter 1 Summary
Initially the chapter spoke on Web 1.0 and 2.0. Web 1.0 was never officially called that, and 2.0 is used to express the changes that have been going on. WWW was a communication tool that turned into a place to provided products and services. It also talked about the dot com bust when many internet businesses had major flaws and failed. Things had to change and the venture capitalist had to switch it up and support the businesses that had solid plans and presented a potentially lengthy future. A decline in costs not long after made it easier to take chances with new ideas and it became less of a risk. Web 2.0 depends on user creativity. A big part of it is the social aspect of it.
